A look into the future of real estate financing
Construction Monitoring Day 2023 took place for the fourth time on November 20 and 21. An annual dialog meeting that offers financiers, developers and monitors the opportunity to discuss the status, trends and future of construction monitoring in an open exchange. The participants engaged in intensive discussions on the current market situation in order to jointly develop solutions.
This year's event was held at the idyllic Gut Ising on Lake Chiemsee and presented high-caliber keynotes and in-depth discussions, professionally moderated by Albert Michael Geiger, CEO Alphazirkel. Daniel Föst from the FDP parliamentary group provided a political insight into the construction industry, while Christina Müller from KPMG offered an overview of the transaction market in Europe.
Restructuring and insolvency
Christian Gerloff and Christian Stoffler from Gerloff*Liebler Rechtsanwälte shed light on specific topics such as restructuring and insolvency, particularly with regard to the types of proceedings and options for investors and financiers.
Panel discussion: Green Lease
Aspecial panel discussion was dedicated to the topic of green leases. The panel discussed how green leases can contribute to the development of sustainable office environments.
Digitalization and technological advances
The conference also focused on digital transformations. Presentations on topics such as cost certainty with AI, risk mitigation and digital construction monitoring were given by various experts. Professor Schmieder shared inspiring and practical insights from Silicon Valley. Special insights into the challenges of digitalization in the real estate industry were provided by prop-tech experts.
Contribution of the financial institutions
Leading banks such as Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, UniCredit, DZ Hyp and Münchner Hyp were represented and provided insights into the current status of construction monitoring, ESG and regulation.
To something new
TheConstruction Monitoring Day is known for its informal atmosphere and the continuous growth in the number of participants. With 60 participants and increasing demand, early bird booking is already being planned for February 2024 to meet the high demand.
