In Berlin-Kreuzberg, a climate-friendly quarter is being built on the site of the former Postscheckamt on Hallesches Ufer, consisting of three buildings. The Zero CO-2 Haus Sauerbruch Hutton, the M-50 Design Tower and the M-40 Holz-Carré.
The Macherei Berlin-Kreuzberg is located right at the junction of Berlin's two exciting districts, Kreuzberg and Mitte. So the best of two worlds - Kreuzberg flair x Mitte dynamism - come together in the quarter.
The climate-friendly quarter on the site of the former Postscheckamt on Hallesches Ufer consists of 3 buildings. The "Holz-Carré" (M40), an innovative new building in timber hybrid construction, the 90-metre high "Design Tower" (M50), an ecological revitalisation, and the completely climate-neutral "Zero-CO2-Haus" (M60).
Commercial and gastronomy areas, planted roofs and terraces as well as a large inner courtyard are planned on almost 28,000 square metres. In the other sections, 78 modern residential units, office space and a skylounge are to be built. In addition to local shopping facilities, a fitness studio with outdoor space is also planned.
