In Berlin-Kreuzberg, a climate-friendly district is being developed on the site of the former post office savings bank at Hallesches Ufer, comprising 3 buildings: the Zero CO-2 House Sauerbruch Hutton, the M-50 Design Tower, and the M-40 Timber Carré.
Die Macherei Berlin-Kreuzberg is located precisely at the intersection of the two vibrant Berlin districts of Kreuzberg and Mitte. This brings together the best of two worlds in the quarter – Kreuzberg flair and Mitte dynamism.
The climate-friendly district on the site of the former Post Office Savings Bank at Hallesches Ufer, consisting of 3 buildings. The 'Holz-Carré' (M40), an innovative new building in timber-hybrid construction, the 90-meter-high 'Design-Tower' (M50), an ecological revitalization, and the completely climate-neutral 'Zero-CO2-House' (M60).
Spanning approximately 28,000 square meters, the development includes commercial and catering spaces, green roofs and terraces, and a spacious inner courtyard. Subsequent phases will feature 78 modern residential units, office spaces, and a skylounge. Furthermore, a fitness studio with an outdoor area is planned, alongside local retail amenities.
