The expansion and renovation of the Städtisches Klinikum Braunschweig at its 'Salzdahlumer Straße' campus in the southeast of the city integrates new construction and extensions with the existing building. This involves a new and revised architectural structure that organically connects all functions and building sections.
A new, elegant entrance building, including a forecourt arrival area, completes the comprehensive reorganization of the Salzda Lumer Straße complex, serving as a distinguished entryway.
Since 2017, a complex development project has been underway at Städtisches Klinikum Braunschweig to optimize workflows, increase capacity, and enhance efficiency.
The investment program focuses on optimizing workflows, increasing capacity, and improving overall efficiency.
The 1,499-bed hospital employs nearly 4,000 staff and comprises 21 clinics, ten independently operating clinical departments, and seven institutes, covering almost all medical specialties. Annually, the hospital treats over 61,000 inpatients and approximately 121,000 outpatients.
Turner & Townsend was commissioned to manage the construction project, including cost and commercial management, Building Information Modeling (BIM) consulting and management, and quality control.
