Flagship Project
FC Bayern München e.V., founded in 1900; basketball division founded in 1946. Seven-time German basketball champion (1954, 1955, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2024, 2025) and five-time German Cup champion. The men’s basketball team competes in the Basketball-Bundesliga and the EuroLeague. The FC Bayern Campus opened in August 2017; it was built between 2015 and 2017 at a cost of approximately 70 million EUR. SHA Scheffler Helbich Architekten won the design competition for the Performance Center in December 2025; asp Architekten received second prize. The building permit application was submitted to the City of Munich in August 2026; the club describes the project as a “flagship project”
