A 142-meter, 38-story high-rise in Berlin, financed to support Amazon's European headquarters, was tracked on PROBIS Banks for a five-bank financing consortium.
East Side Tower is a 142-meter, 38-story high-rise development in Berlin-Friedrichshain, designed by BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, to house Amazon's European headquarters. Construction monitoring is being handled by PROBIS Banks on behalf of a financing consortium consisting of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, Commerzbank AG, HELABA – Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, Berlin Hyp AG, and Berliner Sparkasse.
Real estate lending on this scale is inherently complex—a single project can involve 20 to 100 parties and generate up to 1,200 files, creating fertile ground for inefficiencies and cost overruns. PROBIS’s Project-Clock module provides lending banks with real-time risk detection, centralized fund tracking, and AI-generated reports, replacing disconnected spreadsheet workflows with a single source of truth.
